Vice President, Civilian SectorHighPoint Digital, Inc. is seeking to hire a Vice President to lead its Civilian business unit and position the company for future growth and success.This position will be based in the Washington, DC area and will report directly to HighPoint’s Chief Operating Officer (COO). The Vice President, Civilian Sector will manage a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about our mission to deliver trusted, comprehensive solutions to our government clients and to exceed their expectations. The position is ideal for an experienced leader with strategic capability and experience leading businesses, who is looking to work in an entrepreneurial environment and to help HighPoint grow.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:* Strong business acumen with profit and loss responsibility* Demonstrated strategic thinking that moves an organization forward in terms of financial growth and customer reach* Top caliber interpersonal skills: ability to communicate, present, influence, and explain across multiple cross-functional stakeholders and management levels* Exceptional leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills across all levels of employees* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Demonstrated experience in client relationships, organizational development, personnel management* Demonstrated experience developing and managing budgets, and strategic planning in a small to mid-size company working with the federal government* Contract management experience requiredJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:* Work with the Highpoint COO to establish the strategic direction of the Civilian business unit and execute this strategy with company leadership* Determine the market focus for the business unit, identifying positive and negative market trends, and developing opportunity plans* Collaborate with Corporate on new initiatives* Ensure compliance with company policies, federal laws/regulations* Troubleshoot and resolve program issues (client, delivery, financial, etc)* Conduct reviews to assess program health (customer, financial, growth)* Lead, coach, mentor and develop direct reports* Conduct periodic visits with employees on client sites* Conduct executive visits for current programs, assessing performance and required corrective action* Introduce Highpoint and its capabilities to tangential/new customers in coordination with Business Development and technical leads* Participate in industry events and maintain knowledge of relevant trends and technologies* Determine direction/strategy for market penetration* Ensure profitable business unit growth* Facilitate opportunity reviews and make pursuit decisions* Lead Proposal Pursuit (bid strategy, proposal writing if necessary, price-to-win strategy, price review, red team, and approval)* Assist with the identification of large single-award opportunities* Identify and develop partner relationships* Owns all business unit metrics (financial, business development, human resources)* Oversees and has knowledge of program statements of work, terms and conditions, financials, and profitability* Manage indirect, B&P, and selling budgets* Develop strategic plan for the business unit (revenue and margin growth year after year)EDUCATION AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:* Bachelor’s degree in Program Management, Business or other related field from a four-year accredited college or university; Master’s or MBA preferred* Minimum 15 years of related experience, with a minimum of 10 years of P&L management experienceABOUT HIGHPOINT:HighPoint is a growth-oriented firm that provides a unique, differentiated employee culture relative to our Federal market peers.
