Richmond, Virginia The Virginia Talent Accelerator Program is seeking an experienced, energetic, and results-oriented recruiting professional to augment our talent acquisition service offerings.

Operated by the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program provides fully customized talent acquisition and training solutions at no cost to qualified new and expanding companies as an incentive for job creation.

Our new position will report directly to the Managing Director of Talent Acquisition Services and will be required to occasionally travel to client locations in Virginia and possibly other locations around the U.S.

This is a salaried position which offers a highly attractive compensation package, featuring a defined benefit retirement program that fully vests in just five years.

The role is ideal for someone who is client-focused and much more motivated by pursuit of locating and landing top talent than by finding and securing new business.

Selling new accounts is not one of the job responsibilities.

The role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to work on multiple projects with the world’s most prestigious companies as they deploy leading edge technologies at their new or expanding Virginia locations.

The successful candidate will have exceptional experience creating and utilizing innovative and resourceful sourcing techniques to identify, engage, and qualify top passive and active talent to generate a robust talent pipeline for our clients’ open positions.

Client openings will primarily be leadership and professional positions in manufacturing and software development companies, but will span many industry sectors.

Client openings may also include quality assurance and difficult to fill hourly positions in manufacturing operations.

In addition to helping create talent acquisition strategies and executing the tactics, the will collaborate with our in-house professional video team and Managing Director to develop broadcast-quality ads to post on LinkedIn, job boards, client websites, etc.

The objective will be to tell the unique story of the career and lifestyle opportunities at our clients’ new Virginia locations in a way that generates awareness, excitement and robust pipeline of quality candidates.

Responsibilities: Work closely with client human resources, talent acquisition teams, and subject-matter-experts to identify requisite talent requirements with expectation to define targeted audiences for sourcing Define, design, and execute a specific talent strategy to uncover the most qualified candidates for our clients Identify potential talent acquisition media channels and campaign scenarios for service delivery that promote the client’s brand and value proposition Locate qualified, potential applicants through internet searches, passive/active candidate attraction, social/professional networking, competitor research, referrals, and diversity resources Present shortlisted candidates to client human resources teams and hiring managers Develop relationships with colleges/universities, community-based talent acquisition partners, transitioning military organizations, etc.

for talent pipeline development Contribute to the development of a talent acquisition suite of services as core offerings, including but not limited to job postings, digital and social campaigns, virtual hiring experiences, and related services Create and deliver highly customized talent acquisition strategies and tactics for each client company’s hiring needs and requirements Support recruitment efforts to fill internal VEDP openings as needed Skills: Proficient in designing, developing and executing talent acquisition and recruitment tactics for unique and nuanced hiring scenarios Excels under pressure in a fast-paced and high-profile work environment Enjoys meeting needs/deadlines of internal and external customers Thrives equally in both the development and delivery of talent acquisition campaigns Demonstrates confidence when communicating with clients and presenting to diverse audiences (internal/external) Uses data/resources through experience to guide campaign decisions, e.G., Google Analytics, click-thru rates, costs per click, etc.

to direct and/or pivot campaigns Professional, courteous, and establishes rapport with individuals Cultivates strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships Education/Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a talent acquisition/recruitment role (Corporate Environment Preferred) Experience in IT, manufacturing, executive, and high-volume talent attraction (Preferred) Demonstrated private-sector experience working in and/or with large, multinational firms (Preferred) Project involvement working within defined parameters while collaborating externally/internally with cross-functional teams Practical knowledge of talent acquisition laws and protocols related to hiring, e.G., OFCCP, Affirmative Action, Diversity and Inclusion, etc.

Hands-on familiarity utilizing applicant tracking systems, Handshake, virtual hiring platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and/or related technologies or platforms Experience developing social media campaigns and actively monitoring outcomes/results Bachelor’s degree in a relevant/related field All candidates must apply through our website https://www.Vedp.Org/about-vedp.
