Building on Salesforce’s support of and commitment to the trillion tree movement, this role will primarily focus on mobilizing the Salesforce ecosystem – both internally and externally – to restore, conserve, and grow trees. As our impact programs evolve, there will be opportunities to engage stakeholders around additional topics.

What you’ll do: 

  • Mobilizing the Salesforce ecosystem in support of the larger trees movement and to advance progress on Salesforce’s goal to restore, conserve, and grow 100 million trees by 2030

  • Providing strategic oversight on messaging and positioning to ensure the tree narrative and ongoing marketing engages and aligns with our company values and program priorities

  • Drafting and editing internal- and external communications to educate and drive awareness around Salesforce’s tree initiatives and inspire climate action 

  • Developing and leading a strategic calendar of events and campaigns to promote tree initiatives throughout the year in close coordination with our partners, including the World Economic Forum and United Nations

  • Integrating tree narrative and participant activations into key strategic events (e.g., Earth Month, Climate Week, Dreamforce, COP, etc.)

  • Working with internal business partners to ensure tree messaging is integrated across relevant communications channels and creative assets

  • Creating opportunities for employees to get involved with tree conservation / planting, as well as related pro bono projects

  • Crafting compelling, executive-level slides, talk tracks, and speaker briefings for spokespeople

  • Maintaining internal enablement decks, resources, and engagement data

  • Track results and apply key learnings to improve future communications, content, and engagement

About you:

  • You’re a driven, self-starter who’s passionate about using storytelling to make a difference

  • You have considerable hands-on marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement experience

  • You enjoy working strategically and operationally, both conceiving of- and delivering programs 

  • You love project management and pride yourself on having brilliant organizational skills and attention to detail

  • You excel at producing effective, compelling and polished slides for executive-level presentations

  • You have experience building trusted relationships with executive stakeholders and enjoy working closely with a wide variety of roles and levels

  • You are an exceptional team player and show a strong dedication to partnership and team building

  • You have a positive, flexible attitude and a sense of humor is second nature

Preferred Requirements:

  • 5+ years in marketing, communications or related discipline

  • Demonstrated passion for social and environmental impact

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messages to specific audiences

  • Confidence and ability to effectively lead, manage, and execute multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, often ambiguous and ever-changing environment

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and exert influence without necessarily authority

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Quip, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, Adobe Illustrator and Slack preferred
