ANS Defense Marketing and Communications Director: The position is responsible for managing all communications, marketing, coordination with sales, and stakeholder relations activities for the ANS Defense Team.

Here’s what you will be doing:
Develop and implement an ANS Defense plan that includes the management and coordination of all communications and marketing activities across Sales, the Performing Units and Jacobs corporate communications interfaces.

Ensure that marketing products adhere to Jacobs branding guidelines.

Provide strategic input for executive advisory including development of briefing memos for external meetings, presentations for internal and external meetings, and participation in annual strategy planning.

Develop and manage strategic Sales initiatives/priorities associated with ANS Defense branding and marketing to support existing projects and future new opportunities.

Develop data-driven criteria for all strategic Sales initiatives/priorities.

Develop standard approach to measuring progress on these initiatives/priorities.

Prepare and present monthly and quarterly presentations on progress.

Manage Sales communications to include the internal webpage; Maintain key BU/PU metrics to include data for inclusion in presentations and proposals Support external ANS Defense communications including executive presentation materials, jacobs.com newsroom articles and press releases.

Coordinate ANS Defense’s participation and attendance at relevant industry conferences, with a focus on Defense Industry events.

Coordinate with the Jacobs sales team to support capture efforts.

This include communications, marketing, and stakeholder outreach campaigns, and interfaces with the targeted DOD leadership and community leaders.

Manage and stand up the communications, marketing, and stakeholder outreach programs for new ANS Defense awards as part of the incoming transition team to include press releases.

Bachelor’s degree.

Five (5) or more years of experience in communications, marketing, sales, or related disciplines, or an appropriate combination of education and experience.

Proven exceptional writing skills in a variety of mediums, including publications, presentations, proposals, and social media, with the ability to edit, proofread and create high-quality content accessible to the general public.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively, and build effective relationships with all levels of management, staff, internal customers and other stakeholders.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically, proactively offer solutions and provide tactical execution.

Demonstrated detail orientation, organization and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively under deadline pressures, manage workload and adjust quickly to changing priorities.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint); Knowledge of Adobe Creative Services (CS) or similar tools.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

Position may require filing, typing, and reading from a computer screen.

Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.

There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required.

Position will require heavy use of computing systems

Work Environment

Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting).

Outside work may include various environmental conditions including warm and cold climates.

Needs to be able to work well with co-workers, customer, and all levels of management.

No hazards on job or unusual environmental conditions.

This is a remote position

Equipment and Machines

Ability to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, printer, copy machine, telephone, fax machine and other equipment including desk supplies and other work related tools as required.

Attendance

Regular hours will be between Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm.

Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings.

Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines.

Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

The core hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm EST.

However, there is flexibility on the hours.

Other Essential Functions

Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers.

Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written.

Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others.

Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.

Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required.

Travel to and from customer’s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects.

This may involve airline travel.

In some cases, accommodations can possibly be made for POV, if necessary.

When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
