The position requires someone with a very strong background in project management.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESMeets with Google engineers on all levels of product development and placement.Conduct ongoing risk assessments throughout the product life cycle and identify actions and develop procedures to mitigate any hazards.Continue safety oversight throughout the development of the product for awareness of upcoming changes in each device and product.Thoroughly assess and uncover all possible safety aspects along all phases of a product development project.Partner with all departments and teams associated with the development of each new product during all phases of the product development.Develop guidelines and mitigate processes for any safety concerns.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESProvides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area.

Recommends staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination.

Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime.

Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff.

Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies.

Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company’s values.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
