Description Summary:

The Corporate Development Director (CDD) is responsible for working closely with and provides advice to our senior leaders on the development and implementation of our corporate strategy with a strong emphasis on growth.

Providing input into the company’s strategic direction and driving key strategic initiatives.

Driving analysis of market trends, technology developments, and changes in customers’ requirements to identify opportunities and risks impacting the company’s business and formulate strategic responses to drive sustainable value realization.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic business plan and roadmaps for inorganicgrowth.
  • Source investment opportunities across the Americas.
  • Organization and management of due diligence projects (strategic partnerships, M&A, etc.)
  • Monitor and analyze telecom industry trends associated but not limited to CT products or services and including competition, market, and regulatory/compliance.

    Based on such trends establish strategies to find more customers and grow market share.

  • Drive geographic new market development, focused on Latin America opportunities.

    Identify new verticals and geographic expansion.

  • Lead projects that require cross functional collaboration and manage stakeholder expectations; set deadlines; assign responsibilities; monitor and summarize progress; research requirements; recruit support as necessary and provide proposals on action plan, including the creation of success criteria and measurements
  • Develop, analyze and prepare reports and information for CT leadership team and/or the Board of Directors
  • Provide operational support to the business to ensure the success of corporate initiatives
  • Identify structured financing and government funding opportunities in the Americas
  • Identify and maintain relationships with Financial investors
  • Manage Corporate Development team to meet Company and group objectives

Position Requirements

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Education Needed:

  • Master’s Degree required, an MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in the telecom industry and at least 3 years in leading strategy of corporate development
  • Comprehensive understanding of global telecom and IT solutions industry and sound knowledge of the market trend
  • Proven analytical, financial, and strategic skills including presenting detailed financial analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; verbally, written, face-to-face and over the phone with all levels of staff
  • Professional ability to build relationships with internal and external resources at the C-levels in target organizations
  • Flexibility to work seamlessly within a global environment across multiple time zones
  • Experience with investment banks a strong plus
  • Experience in defining and driving programs
  • Complete fluency in English required; Spanish, Mandarin or Portuguese in addition preferred
  • Effectiveness with team members and external resources at all levels and cross-departmental.
  • Ability to manage hiring, supervising, coaching, disciplining, and performance assessing of all direct reports.
