The North American Sales organization will formally engage and serve a diverse mix of client stakeholders within Commercial and Government entities to consistently position Learning Tree’s full suite of content and support services and drive revenue growth.

Core function:

The Account Manager role is a sales position directly responsible for generating revenue opportunities for Learning Tree International’s North American Operating Unit by employing a sales engagement strategy to identify new Learning and Development opportunities within both new and existing Government Departments and Commercial businesses.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a team selling environment with Enterprise Solutions Executives to focus on public course revenue within existing and new account prospects.
  • Develop and cultivate sales opportunities within Government or Commercial clients with an emphasis on new Lines of Business and organizations through virtual selling and persuasive communication skills.
  • Generate qualified leads by making outbound calls into prospective customers and complete call campaigns created by Marketing initiatives and Customer promotions.
  • Actively manage a robust client portfolio while assisting in the development of the territory plan, acting upon the plans with an emphasis on individuals and mid-level client and learning and development relationships.
  • Identify client Learning and Development goals and work collaboratively to design and develop learning solutions to meet client performance expectations.
  • Assist in the develop and maintain business plans that reflect strategies for successfully achieving quarterly and annual quotas.
  • Take advantage of access to Learning Tree’s client database and social media tools to quickly identify new customer contacts, technology initiatives and client information and acting against opportunity to build a sales funnel.
  • Expand client service offerings within existing customers through white space planning and prospecting to identify opportunity for expansion of Learning Tree’s full product portfolio.
  • Document all customer contacts within Learning Tree provided CRM database.
  • Participate in networking events and associations to broaden your market presence and subject matter expertise.
  • Participate in ongoing sales training and Learning Tree training to continue to sharpen your professional knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Qualifications and skills:

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of direct sales experience; Preferably within the following industries – Training or Learning & Development, Professional Services, Technology Integrators, or complex Government service solutions providers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Proven and verifiable track record of sales and quota attainment.
  • Able to effectively establish trust and confidence in all client engagement communications.
  • Proven success in designing, defining, planning and executing client growth within a portfolio offering both minimal and significant past performance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and selling through social media.

Competencies:

  • Service-oriented sales expertise with the ability to engage and build rapport with learning and development professionals and executives.
  • Keen listening skills and the ability to interpret client feedback in order to gain an understanding of their goals and expectations.
  • Ability to Identify the requisite steps in the business development process.
  • A natural curiosity that translates into proactive research and intelligence on forward-looking client projects and requirements.
  • Ability to communicate the full scope Learning Tree’s capabilities and cross-sell the full line of our products and services.
  • Competency in handling price negotiations and articulating business value propositions.
  • Business acumen and ability to communicate effectively with Senior client prospects, SMEs and key internal stakeholders.
