Assistant Property Manager

This is a Contract position in Chantilly, VA posted November 19, 2021.

The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for assisting the Property Manager with the day-to-day operation and management of properties, to include assisting in the preparation and implementation of budgets and the annual operating plan. In addition, the APM will be responsible for supervising vendors and project work, invoice processing, memo’s and verbal communications with tenants, and various office support activities.

Must be a USA citizen in order to qualify for Top Secret security clearance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business or similar field; equivalent work experience will be considered.

· 1-3 years commercial property management experience.

· MUST POSSESS OR BE WILLING TO SEEK AND OBTAIN A TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE, including full scope polygraph. (paid by company)

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat. Strong Excel skills are a must.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

· Manage the day-to-day quality control of properties and conduct routine site inspections, noting deficiencies, and suggest and implement solutions.

· Inspect the performance of all assigned contracted services; to include communication with hired contractors, review of procedures and ensure work is being performed up to standards.

· Periodical bidding of contracted services to ensure standards, pricing and best practices within industry are always attained.

· The Assistant Property Manager processes invoices and creates purchase orders in Nexus Payables.

· Develop and maintain relationships with tenants and clients.

· Manage database of contract expirations and initiate renewals or bid process.

· Assist in planning, preparing and implementing operating budgets for properties.

· The Assistant Property Manager assists in the coordination of tenant build-out and move-ins.

· Assist others on special projects, RFP’s and special events.

· Attend department meetings, as needed.

· Assume other responsibilities and duties as may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
