Work you’ll do/Responsibilities

As a member of the team, you will support analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training curriculum utilizing the NAVEDTRA series of instructions for the newly released CANES system administrator course curriculum as well as other operational and maintenance related curriculum development efforts.

You will work side-by-side with CANES Subject Matter Experts, operations specialists and systems engineers, and upon completion of the curriculum development effort, will support pilot training instruction at multiple Training and development engineering sites, all while solving unique and challenging problems associated with CANES and other hosted or connected IT systems.

The US Systems Engineering Offering delivers large scale software applications and integrated systems and assists its clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition.

The practice aims at developing service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems.

It would focus on key client issues that impact the core business by delivering operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s in Science or equivalent work experience
  • Must have or be willing to obtain an active Top-Secret Clearance
  • 5+ years of VMware experience in preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting techniques, best practices, etc
  • Experience developing and deploying customized VMware solutions.
  • Able to define multiple virtual servers on a single host machine.
  • Knowledge of virtualizing Windows servers and connecting them to networks and clouds.
  • 2+ years of AWS experience
  • Ability to deliver quality training and materials and to train users to be trainers
  • Ability to operate independently / with little oversight, closely with users to help design instructional content
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills a must.
  • A comprehensive background in military IT is desired, preferably while in uniform
  • Travel up to 20% annually (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Travel up to 10% annually

Preferred Qualifications:

  • VMware certification (VCP)
  • AWS Certification
  • CANES experience
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance
