Summary of Position (Job Purpose)We are seeking a talented digital marketing specialist with experience in SEM, SEO, and paid media overall to drive growth and awareness for our two brands, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. Working closely with our in-house Paid Media team and agency partners, you will help to execute, optimize, and analyze paid media campaigns that support company initiatives while maximizing spend to yield strong ROAS results. You will also play a key role in improving our organic search engine presence for both brands which will include content and technical SEO initiatives. We’re seeking someone who is very driven and highly organized with an ability to pull valuable, actionable insights from website analytics data that will help drive consistent company growth. This is a NEW position which provides the opportunity to join a growing digital marketing team for one of America’s favorite brands! Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Get your hands dirty by playing a key role in the planning, execution, optimization, and analysis of search engine marketing (PPC/SEO), shopping ads, affiliate, display, paid social, online video and paid media for e-publishing (digital circulars) across mobile and desktop platforms.
  • Be an optimization hawk always on the lookout for ways to improve targeting and efficiency of our Paid Media campaigns.
  • Assist in day-to-day communication with our media agency and/or advertising vendors, understand daily performance, and create feedback loops with key internal and external partners.
  • Provide an abundance of communication with our media agency concerning upcoming events and changes to marketing calendar.
  • Assist with paid media budget management and its impact on the paid media calendar.
  • Put on your SEO hat to support local SEO efforts, as you will work closely with our content team on keyword opportunities as well as work hand-in-hand with our SEO agencies/vendors and front/back-end developers to address technical SEO improvements.
  • Be always on the hunt for new strategies, features & betas to test and learn. We are not afraid to try new things!
  • Dig into Google Analytics and specific vendor dashboards to find those insights that separate great performance from merely good.
  • Work closely with supervisor and our media agency and/or advertising vendors to develop, maintain and optimize paid advertising opportunities on social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.
  • Coordinate with our Creative team on the timely delivery of paid media assets (banner images, videos).
  • Provide weekly and monthly reporting for our paid media channels and platforms.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Analytics, Marketing, or related field. Master’s degree a plus.
  • 2+ years of Search Marketing experience, either client side or Agency
  • Documented experience managing retail or related SEM programs or performance marketing channels
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Search Console, Google Merchant Center, Bing Ads, SEMRush or similar SEO tools.
  • Thorough understanding of acquisition marketing and latest Paid Search trends, including automated bidding
  • Highly analytical with proven ability to think strategically
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent written, oral communications and presentation skills
  • Last but not least, a passion for an ever-changing industry that has you reading the latest info from SEOMoz, Search Engine Journal and the like.
