Overview:Franklin Health and Rehab in Rocky Mount, VA, is seeking a Rehab Aide for our Therapy Department. The Rehab Aide provides direct care to patients in support of patient rehabilitation to promote patient independence, wellness, and restoration of patient function. Rehab will also assist Rehab team in patient scheduling, transporting patients to and from scheduled rehab times, and a host of other things. ** Survey upon completion of application is mandatory to be considered** Please track application status online ONLY, no phone calls pleaseResponsibilities:The Rehab Aide assists patients in the completion of functional mobility tasks and activities of daily living (ADLs) in coordination with therapy and nursing departments. The Rehab Aide assists in the coordination and scheduling of rehabilitation activities, andtransports patients as scheduled to and from the treatment areas. This individualassists with maintaining the cleanliness of the treatment areas, and collaborates with center staff to promote the highest possible physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being for the patients.Qualifications:Job Qualifications, Skills and Abilities, and Physical Demands:High School Diploma or GED3 years experience in long term rehab facilityCNA certification REQUIREDSufficient verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate, comprehend, understand and write messages, and follow directionsGood telephone etiquetteFrequent bending, squatting, twisting and reachingFrequent patient handling and transferring over 100 poundsFrequent repetitive pushing, pulling and grasping up to 50lbs, ocassional up to 100 poundsTeam player with a great attitude and a passion for good customer service.Additional Information:At the heart of everything we do is our MFA “Commitment to Care.
