Peraton is seeking Principal Test Engineers to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.

This position will be located in Arlington, VA.

The Principal Test Engineers will design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.

Plan and arrange the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.

Provide test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed.

Compile data and define changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.

Responsible for testing all customer samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.

Roles and Responsibilities:Includes some or all of the following:Support the development team in troubleshooting and recreating the problem.Develop test plans and procedures to test fixes and enhancements.Perform various tests on the developed solution to ensure it functions properly and meets user expectations.Incorporate automated unit, integration, regression, system and security (including code scans) testing into the build process.Review automated test results from the build process.Execute manual and automated tests.Conduct internal and external interface testingPerform testing on various device types including desktop, laptop, tablet and smart phone platforms.Conduct mobile testing and 508 compliance testing.Support user acceptance testing and correct findings.Test Web APIs and services using Selenium and Perfecto.Position may include cybersecurity testing.

Basic Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 5 years of relevant experience -or
– Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 3 years of relevant experience.US Citizenship in order to obtain and maintain a position of public trust Preferred Qualifications:Knowledgeable with SAFe Agile practices and toolsExperience deploying and maintaining national security software systems in a 24/7 environmentExperience as a software tester or similar technical roleActive adjudicated USMS background investigation or other government security clearanceExperience writing test plans and procedures.Developing automated testsConducting manual and automated tests.Experience using Selenium, Perfecto, Pega Unit or other automated test tools.Experience using tools such as AppScan and Katalon #USMSMMP We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
