Job Description

Measurement System Operator

Summary:

Measure and/or test parts for defects and deviations from specifications, follow work process instructions, and maintain cleanliness of equipment and general work area.

May use precision measuring instruments, x-ray systems, and complex test equipment.

Meet or exceed production quotas.

Work in a high-volume manufacturing environment, around chemicals, working with both manual and automated equipment; sometimes in extreme temperatures (heat and cold).

Job Responsibilities:
Test or measure parts for conformance to specifications; dependent on position, may measure dimension of products/thickness of electroplated coating using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
Record inspection or test data and quantities measured/tested; complete other documentation as required.
Transport and re-position greater than 15 pounds of materials/equipment from ground to waist and at waist level on a routine basis.
Cross-train and learn additional skills as needed to assist in meeting production goals.
Shall stop production, stop shipments, and/or report all safety, environmental, or quality concerns.
May be required to work overtime as needed to meet production goals.

Work and operate equipment safely in accordance with department safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma; some related experience preferred.
Must possess basic computer and math skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret documentation such as safety rules, work process instructions, memos, etc.
Ability to follow instructions, accept corrections, contribute ideas, and work well as part of a team.
Ability to operate multiple machines simultaneously.
Must be at least 18 years of age to work with automotive parts.

Visual Inspector (automotive parts or gun parts)

Summary:

Inspect plated or anodized parts to ensure parts meet quality requirements, follow work process instructions, and maintain cleanliness of equipment and general work area.

Meet or exceed production quotas.

Work in a high-volume manufacturing environment, around chemicals, working with both manual and automated equipment; sometimes in extreme temperatures (heat and cold).

Job Responsibilities:
Visually inspect parts under microscope or with the naked eye depending on assigned department.
Identify defective parts and segregate according to defect mode.
Notify appropriate party of defective product requiring corrective action.

· Maintain accurate production records and other documentation as required.
Transport and re-position greater than 15 pounds of materials/equipment from ground to waist and at waist level on a routine basis.

· Cross-train and learn additional skills as needed to assist in meeting shipment/production goals.

· Shall stop production, stop shipments, and/or report all safety, environmental, or quality concerns.
May be required to work overtime as needed to meet production goals.

Work and operate equipment safely in accordance with department safety procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
