HR & Talent Acquisition Specialist


This is a Full-time position in Virginia Beach, VA posted June 10, 2021.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for employee relations; handles employee relations counseling, provides advice, counsel, and guidance on personnel issues Responsible for reviewing 90-day new hire follow-up and exit interviews Stays current and maintains compliance on recent federal & state labor law changes and monitors labor law updates for changes that affect HR Responsible for all aspects of employee onboarding and conducting new hire orientation on the project.

Responsible for the management of the recruitment process for all open positions Works closely with management to design, implement, and execute strategies to recruit talent Works closely with management to assess and evaluate staffing needs and provides recommendations and guidance all employee compensation issues Conduct and develop innovative sourcing and prescreening activities, and assessment tools to attract the highest caliber and most qualified candidates.

Identify optimal talent sources for active and passive job seekers including niche job boards, cold-calling strategies, professional association partnerships, resume databases, diversity organizations, industry networking, employee referrals, Internet sourcing, social media, and college programs.

Maintain requisition data integrity of Application Tracking System Maintain current recruitment spreadsheet on a daily basis.

Assists with the collection and analysis of exit interviews to identify trends and possible issues.

Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field Minimum of five (5) years of Human Resources experience with a focus on Talent Acquisition/Recruitment Must demonstrate exceptional judgment, discretion and professional courtesy.

Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a high degree of confidentiality.

Previous experience using an Applicant Tracking System such as UKG, Workday, iCIMS, Taleo…etc.

Preferred Qualifications
PHR certification preferred.

Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and familiarity with HRIS systems.

Well-developed written presentation, organization, and editing skills.

Ability to multi-task and work in high pressure environment.

Previous experience using recruiting solutions such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Indeed
