Responsibilities

IBTS is a leading disaster recovery consulting firm providing technical assistance, program management and monitoring services for HUD and FEMA funded disaster recovery programs.

IBTS is seeking a Disaster Management Practice Lead.

The ideal candidate will have an established record of successful CDBG-DR and FEMA program management and a desire to use their expertise to expand IBTS’s organizational capacity and increase our ability to support communities in preparing for and recovering from disaster events.

Responsibilities

Business Growth
Collaborate with IBTS leadership to enhance and maintain our disaster recovery marketing strategy.

Lead disaster recovery marketing, business development, capture and proposal activities including: Identify and track leads for IBTS to pursue.

Establish and maintain professional relationships with existing and potential clients.

Develop understanding of client’s recovery needs, develop strategy and identify resources required to successfully deliver recovery services.

Lead disaster recovery proposal and pricing activities to deliver compelling proposals that differentiate IBTS’s services.

Deliver technical presentations and participate as needed in industry conferences Assist with development of marketing materials.

Establish and maintain professional relationships with strategic partners and subcontractors.

Serve as CDBG-DR and FEMA subject matter expert in all corporate activities.

 Leadership
Provide leadership to IBTS’s disaster recovery regional management and staff, providing support and resources to ensure quality service and successful execution of all projects.

Collaborate with IBTS HR staff to increase the organizational capacity through development of current staff and identification of new staff with skills necessary for growth opportunities.

Establish working relationships with other IBTS business leads to leverage IBTS’s client base and partnerships for future opportunities.

Establish regular communications among the recovery staff to foster professional growth and ensure all projects are properly staffed and resourced.

Serve as senior leadership for large-scale program start-up.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have the following characteristics:
Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to develop and grow the organization.

Strategic thinker able to develop, communicate and execute growth initiatives.

Highly collaborative and able to foster the development of all team members through mentoring and coaching.

Sharp business and finance acumen, able to assess risks and make decisions.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Program Management, Engineering or similar degree.

10+ years in combination of CDBG-DR or FEMA project or program management experience, with in-depth knowledge of each step in the program life cycle.

5+ years of experience in business development, capture and proposal development.

Experience developing budgets, proposal pricing and knowledge of recovery contract types.

Willingness and ability to travel 25% to 50%
