At Journey Health & Lifestyle, we are building a dynamic, high growth direct-to-consumer healthcare products company. In this role, you will help manage content creation and optimization across our marketing and commerce channels. This team is the voice of Journey. Using words, pictures and videos to tell the story of our products and the impact they can have on our customers’ lives. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, you will collaborate closely with our sales, marketing, customer service, product management, digital and operations groups to strategically deliver the right information and experiences to our customers through offline and online content. The ideal candidate for this position will be a consumer-focused, creative self-starter who can work collaboratively to increase the quantity and quality of all forms of content.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading creative content projects that flow from product, marketing, sales, and customer service initiatives. Work with in-house creatives and third parties to deliver on time and on budget.
- Ensure consistent tone of voice and brand identity across all channels including print ads, social media, TV spots, podcasts, cable shopping networks and Amazon.
- Assisting with mapping out a medium-term content strategy that supports and extends marketing initiatives, both short- and long-term, determining which methods work for the brand and why. Continuous evolvement of strategy is a must.
- Developing standards, systems, processes and best practices (both human and technological) for content creation, distribution, maintenance, content retrieval and content re-purposing, including the real-time implementation of content strategies.
- Leveraging market data to develop content themes/topics and execute a plan to develop the assets that support a point of view and educate customers.
- Act as a critical member of the Marketing team and proactively contribute to marketing plan/output in order to deliver to the common objectives and goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required. Marketing, Communications and other related fields a plus.
- Direct to Consumer (D2C), retail or CPG experience a plus
- 2+ years of experience in content creation, content strategy or marketing
- Video production and editing experience a plus
- Local to the Greater Richmond area or willing to relocate.
- Knowledge of latest content management, editing and creation systems
- Expertise in using digital marketing levers to drive retail growth
- Social media experience a plus
- Data driven, relying on testing, metrics and analysis to plan and assess performance against business goals
- Understanding of SEO and how to ensure product visibility on and off channel
- Project management excellence – with a proven history of driving rigor, process improvements, and progress around unresolved issues and actions
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in dynamic team environment
