The Opportunity
West Creek is looking for an entrepreneurial executive to join our leadership team.

This is a critical role which will lead our credit, risk, & data science teams.

Reporting to the CEO, you will build out our credit policy infrastructure including approve/decline, pricing, line assignment.

Lead credit and fraud modeling, define fraud policy, and spearhead the implementation of credit/fraud models & credit policies across the enterprise.

Modeling and policy work will cover both consumer and small businesses, as we at West Creek work through small businesses in order to finance consumers.
Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee design and iteration of underwriting models in both the online and offline merchant pathways In addition to classic credit/fraud work, the CCO will be substantially involved in working with the investment community including equity raise pitches, negotiation of secured debt facilities, and strategic business development and negotiations regarding whole loan sales
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in consumer or small business finance 5+ years of experience in data science, credit, and fraud Experience at a startup or high growth firm Proven track record of technological innovation in credit/fraud Understanding of the regulatory requirements in credit and fraud decisions Application of advanced algorithms to credit and fraud modeling Design of experiments to understand consumer and small business behavior Using consumer-facing technology to optimize underwriting Utilizing data sources beyond primary bureaus Ability to be a compelling salesperson with institutional debt and equity investors Collaboration with cross-functional teams including technology, product, sales, and finance to develop innovative solutions Deep quantitative skills to support strategic thinking about credit and pricing Experience with consumer lending risk models Strong analytical and technical frameworks Demonstrated high intelligence Experience owning strategic and credit roadmaps
