We stand for excellence—always.THE POSITION:We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Optometry Assistant to join our team 2 days a week in Richmond, VA and surrounding cities within a 2.5-3 hour radius to include Richmond, Wakefield, and Woodlake.

You must demonstrate responsibility and compassion for our patients and act as an ambassador to the elderly to assist with their vision needs.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Arrive before the doctor to get the clinic set up at the facility.Transport patients to and from the exam area at the facility.Assist the doctor with vision pretesting, working with glasses and scribing as needed.REQUIREMENTS:Valid Driver’s License with no moving violations in the last 5 years.Tuesday and Thursday for a full 8 hour day minimum each dayMust have own reliable transportation.High school diploma or GED preferred.1 year relevant work history, preferably in long term/senior care.Ability to push/pull + or 200 lbs.

wheelchair).Willingness to travel within a 2.5-3 hour radius.Vaccination is required; however the Company will consider accommodations for disability and religious-based reasons.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Customer Service Skills – must be able to work with staff at nursing home to ensure that their vision needs are being met.Computer Skills – must be able to log chart notes at time of visit.Organization – must keep supplies organized.Multi-Task – ability to prioritize and address multiple demands concurrently.Communication – must be able to communicate effectively with clinical coordinator, patient, responsible parties and facility staff.Team Mindset – ability to work within a team for the good of the customer.Positive Problem Solver – ability to think on your feet and find solutions to a variety of unique issues.Open to continuous improvement of process and customer service experience.
