This is a Full-time position in Richmond, VA posted January 9, 2022.

Description:The Project Engineer supports the Lead Engineer on large projects and may take a leadership role in small Core Products projects.

The Discipline Engineer produces engineering documentation and performs reviews of specifications and technical literature from potential suppliers to ensure conformance with project specifications, requirements, and industry standards Work with and maintain key engineering tools such as the Master Document List (MDL), ITP (Inspection and Test Plan), vendor QC (Quality Control) document list.

Coordinate with suppliers and maintain the Vendor Document List (VDL).

Review and stamp vendor documentation with input / review form the Lead Engineer.

Redline/check P& IDs with direction from the Lead Engineer, incorporating updates and vendor documentation.

Review project specifications and incorporate requirements into design and equipment / procurement specifications.

Prepare engineering documents within specified dates, such as P& ID (Piping and Instrument Diagram), foundation loading charts, valves list, rotating equipment (pumps, blower etc.) data sheets, static equipment data sheets (storage tank, pressure vessels) heat exchanger data sheet, paint and lining matrix, piping and valve specs.

Prepare RFQ (Request for Quotation) package for equipment, vessel, piping, valve, paint, lining, etc.

along with review and release of technical bid evaluations for the packages.

After the PO, update the RFQ for order/Technical documentation for the order.

Prepare, check and monitor BOMs and documentation required for procurement.

Coordinate engineering activities within other engineering groups (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Quality Control), and expedite the development of engineering documents.Skills:tanks, specification, process engineer, project engineer, mechanical engineer, chemical engineer, spec review, RFQ, P& ID, quote, sourcing equipment, valves, pumps, piping, pipes, instrumentationTop Skills Details:tanks, specification, process engineer, project engineer, mechanical engineer, chemical engineer, spec review, RFQ, P& ID, quote, sourcing equipment, valves, pumps, piping, pipes, instrumentationAdditional Skills & Qualifications:MUST HAVES: Bachelor of Engineer (Mechanical or Chemical) 3 5+ years’ experience in engineering a system involving tanks, pipes, pumps, instruments, and valves Experience with an engineering document management system PREFERRED: Experience doing engineering submittals Experience with solidworks Experience with consulting engineering Familiar with P& ID’s Some hands-onexperience with mechanical equipment (can be from hobbies like building cars, working on a farm, etc.) Water process equipment experience such as IX, RO, EDI etc.
