As a Systems Engineering Technical Lead, we’re looking for you to solve complex challenges and help to establish, maintain, and propagate state-of-the-art engineering practices for the DoD.

You will be a leader on a team responsible to establish, maintain, and propagate state-of-the-art engineering practice for the DoD.

Team activities include organizing communities of practice that connect the engineering community to solve cross-cutting engineering challenges, creating and using engineering guidance and standards that propagate best practices that are essential for warfighting success, providing engineering expertise to support the DoD in areas of Systems Engineering, Modular Open Systems Approaches, Digital Engineering, Modeling and Simulation, Software Engineering, and Specialty Engineering disciplines.

You’ll have the chance to help the client establish and maintain Engineering Best Practices across the DoD.

You will support the creation, maintenance, and participation in Communities of Practice (CoPs), Working Groups (WGs), Bodies of Knowledge (BoKs), and similar groups, inside the DoD and with external agencies.

You’ll Investigate current trends in knowledge management and manage capability to index and archive developed products, provide technical leadership to help develop recommended courses of actions and advise and support assessments of transitioning DoD developed technologies.

You will provide expert advice, advocacy, guidance, reporting, documentation, outreach, and engagement nationally and internationally) with external organizations and will identify obstacles to an interoperable engineering community.

You and your team will support the DoD in accountability and Congressional report review processes by reviewing and preparing quality comments and recommendations related to engineering and risk assessment and will oversee the planning involved in national and international meetings.

You will help update policy and guidance and evolve DoD engineering culture by adding rigor to advanced DoD engineering practices. Help us advance and support Modular Open Systems Approaches (MOSA) and support the development and fielding of cutting-edge technology and weapon systems to meet National Security Missions to ensure technology dominance across the acquisition lifecycle.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with systems engineering the Aerospace or Defense industry
  • Experience with establishing working relationships with R&D program managers and organization leadership
  • Experience with tracking task order efforts to rapidly identify and resolve potential and new problems
  • Experience with identifying and resolving administrative and contractual issues related to a support services contract
  • Knowledge of DoD engineering policies and practices
  • Ability to build working relationships across multiple stakeholders
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • BA or BS Degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience withinterfacing with Joint Staff, Services, and warfighters to coordinate engineering and analysis needs and analytic results.
  • MA or MS degree
