The Systems Developer is responsible for analysis, design, programming, and configuration of end user applications, integrations and/or systems software.

Work alongside a passionate and talented team on projects and production support.

Analyze detailed business/functional/technical requirements and specifications for the application to increase solution capacity, reliability and quality.

Collaborate with business subject matter experts, to troubleshoot problems, resolve production issues and build application enhancements.

Code internally developed applications, integrations and/or configure commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) applications using programming, scripting, and database languages.

Perform application testing, deployment, maintenance, and evolution activities by correcting programming errors, responding to scope changes, and coding application enhancements.

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science; Relevant, progressively responsible work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education/exams.
  • Minimum two years IT programming and system design experience in building integrated solutions using Java and SQL.
  • Solid working knowledge of one or more operating systems, databases, tools & programming languages used by FCCI;
  • Experience with Oracle PL/SQL to develop and maintain relational database structures
  • Develop, design, clean, manage, and analyze data and dataflow from multiple sources, providing detailed source-to-target analysis, documentation and data transformation rules.
  • Create and maintain ETL and workflow processes in a variety of environments, including Windows, Oracle, SQL Server, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Vertafore ImageRight, and SAS.
  • Experience supporting custom and third party business applications, as well as understanding project interdependencies and systems integrations.
  • Ability to understand and improve systems; evaluate system’s current state/practices and recommend modifications.
  • Solid understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and software delivery methodology such as Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban.
  • Ability to thoroughly Unit Test development code and solutions, and migrate code through testing environments
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills.

    (Including the ability to document, communicate and share specifications for solutions.)

  • Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making to troubleshoot solution problems and software defects


  • Guidewire ClaimCenter and/or Billing Center preferred; Certified in Guidewire Configuration preferred.
  • Ability to support and maintain relational database structures.

    Oracle PL/SQL and SQLServer experience is preferred.
