Mid-Senior Level EDW Developer

Kforce has a client in Richmond, VA that is seeking a mid to senior level EDW Developer. This role will focus on complete solutions including unit/function/integration testing, documentation, and pipeline monitor. Responsibilities:

  • EDW Developer will work collaboratively and creatively with other data engineers to develop scalable and maintainable data pipelines using Informatica, SQL, Teradata utilizing leading industry practices
  • Develop patterns and build data pipelines that ingest enterprise-wide data lake data into the Enterprise Data warehouse environment and make it available for consummation for both data analytics and data science
  • EDW Developer will migrate all on prem data pipelines to Azure cloud
  • Decommission legacy pass through platforms by migrating applications to point to Enterprise Data Lake
  • Validate data between on-prem and cloud using automated testing techniques
  • Optimize and productionize Data pipelines
  • EDW Developer will partner with a variety of internal stakeholders throughout the migration process

Job Requirements:


  • 5+ years of experience performing Data Engineering/ETL and ELT
  • 2-3 years of strong hands-on experience in Informatica, Python, and Teradata Development
  • 1-2 years of strong experience with SQL and writing stored procedures in Teradata
  • 1-2 years of experience working with to Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Bricks
  • Strong on ideas for system optimization, support, Data Reconciliation, Testing and monitoring
  • Experienced in Performance Tuning of SQL and informatica jobs
  • Ability to work with stake holders, gather requirements, assess impacts to existing ecosystem
  • Ability to handle multiple and simultaneous activities and priorities
  • Strong interpersonal/influence skills, proactive leadership skills and analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills, as well as the ability to make good judgment and work with both technical and business personnel
  • Experience migrating data pipelines from On-prem to Cloud
  • Linux Shell scripting experience
  • Experience with stored procedures
  • Azure Monitoring tools (Log Analytics, Azure functions, Logic Apps, Kusto)
  • Data Security (Encryption) exprrience
