For Victorian based employees, the compliance date is 26 November 2021.All other global Boeing locations do not have a vaccination requirement at this time.Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Enterprise Core Engineering is seeking an Software Engineering DevSecOps Mid-Manager to lead an Enterprise DevSecOps team.

The Enterprise DevSecOps team manages our efforts for the Digital Acceleration effort for DevSecOps and migration to Cloud services, including our existing Secure Digital Transformation Environment (SDTE).

Boeing will move software development to the cloud.

This initiative represents the current and future direction for BDS and Enterprise software development.

We are transforming programs by adopting this approach and migrating to this Cloud environment and its tools.The selected manager will oversee a team of engineers working closely with our Cyber Systems and IT Business Systems partners to develop, deploy, administer and maintain this tool chain and network while establishing and coordinating future tools (including product line support) for product software development across the Boeing Enterprise.

We seek candidates who have experience with teams performing DevSecOps, software development, test automation, and system automation.

DevSecOps is a cultural shift for Boeing and our future business initiatives across the Enterprise.As a member of the Enterprise DevSecOps team, you will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customers delivered system.

This position will place you in roles where you have the opportunity to make an impact on the results of software development teams across our company.

The SDTE team offers a collaborative environment where you have the opportunity to learn from and lead others.

This position allows telecommuting and does require applicants to live in either of the listed location options: USA Fairfax, VA full-time.

Position Responsibilities:Providing oversight and approval of technical approaches, strategic initiatives, products, add-ons, and processes (workflow)Collaborating closely with our IT and cybersecurity colleagues to ensure cost-effective, timely, and secure deployment of the environment and its toolsInterfacing with programs across the enterprise in the planning and deployment of the SDTE, Enterprise DevSecOps, and other tool chains and componentsLeading the design/direction of tool evaluations, trade studies and strategy discussionsDeveloping and executing budget and staffing plans for the teamSecuring and managing several budget pools for development and deploymentCollaborating with other BDS managers and team members across multiple sites to ensure consistent SDTE deploymentManaging, developing, and motivating employees while modeling the Boeing BehaviorsSupporting other Enterprise Core Engineering initiatives and projects This position allows telecommuting.

The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active Secret U.S.

Ability to tie daily work to larger strategic direction.Able to create and contribute to the DevSecOps vision and strategic directionsExperience working with international teams outside standard operating hoursPerformance Management: Ability to identify the right skills for the right projects, experience coaching and mentoring peers and/or reports to continuous learning and improvementWorking knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools.Working knowledge of Cloud development environmentsStrong communication skills and a self-starter that can thrive in a distributed remote work environment.Understanding of secure software development methodologies and Security First mindset.

Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.G.

Bachelor) and typically 15+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.G.

Master 13+ years’ related work experience).
