Position Purpose:
The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for the management and oversight of a comprehensive talent management and acquisition strategic plan for a multi-state, 700 employee not for profit. Currently one senior recruiter and one recruiter would report to this position. The position would be a “working manager” where the expectation is that 75% of the canddiates job is being out in the field recruiting. This includes full life-cycle recruiting; screening and recommending placement of staff by using creative sourcing methods (internal and external) specializing in the Staff, Community Living and Government Contracts section of our business (among others – this position would be responsible for the recruiting results of the entire company). This position must have considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a basic understanding of company’s organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Primary Duties:
• Utilizing all channels in community to position VersAbility as an Employer of Choice in recruiting and hiring efforts
• Direct Oversight of Onboarding process utilizing an HR Specialist
• Streamlining processes in relation to recruiting
• Meeting goals for overall recruiting for the organization
• Talent Acquisition stewardship
• Representing VersAbility as the lead of Talent Acquisition at multiple events, including job fairs, community events, Chamber events, etc.
• Responsible for coordinating candidate interviews, pre-employment screenings, background check screenings, onboarding and new hire orientation for candidates
• Responsible for the oversight of all talent acquisition processes for each recruiter.
• Open and close opportunities utilizing the HRIS module to seek approvals and posting authorizations
• Understanding of Position Control process along with requisition process
• Coordinates with hiring manager(s) to determine best recruiting process for position(s)
• Acts as liason with area employment agencies and advertising agencies
• Utilize appropriate advertising/marketing tools to garner interest in positions responsible for recruiting
• Works with Marketing and Development team to come up with new strategies on how to better reach candidates
• Review applications and monitor interview process
• Participate in interview panels to ensure compliance with interviewing and selection policy; make recommendations on ideal candidates based on experience, skill set and best fit for the organization
• Process hires utilizing the HRIS ensuring the integrity of data
• Extends verbal and written contingent job offers
• Creates excellent relationships with departmental heads throughout the organization
• Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by government agencies
• Maintains presence at area schools and job fairs to increase candidate pool and VersAbility presence in the community
• Coordinates and manages volunteer, intern and contractor relationships. Verifies credentials and coordinates other required screenings
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations related to talent acquisition
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Education: Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Human Resources or related field preferred. Will consider previous extensive full cycle recruiting experience in lieu of education or a combination of the two.
Experience: minimum of 5 years prior full cycle recruiting experience preferred using social media tools like LinkedIn for advertisin

Environmental:
Typically this job requires extended periods of sitting. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as papers, books, etc. These tasks are required less than 20% of the time. No special physical demands are required to perform the work. Travel less than 5% outside of the area.
