Description SHIFT: No Weekends SCHEDULE: Full-time Henrico Doctors’ Hospitals is a 767 licensed bed facility that consists of five community campuses, Henrico, Parham and Retreat Doctors’ Hospitals, West Creek Emergency Center and Hanover Emergency Center.

Activities include managing data entry into the trauma database, assuring timely mandated submission of state and national trauma data.

Maintains a system for effective data flow.

Works closely with the Trauma Services Director and Trauma Medical Director.

Helps to guide outreach, injury prevention, and educational activities based on trauma center data.

SPECIFIC ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Oversight and management of trauma quality indicators Problem solving and resolution of trauma quality opportunities, demonstrating loop closure Works with physicians, patients, staff, external agencies and other organizations to address trauma quality, safety, and process issues.

Prepares reports appropriate to audience utilizing multiple computer-based software and web-based applications.

Demonstrates proficiency in abstracting and collecting trauma case data and using the trauma database to report trauma case data.

Helps to guide and facilitate outreach, injury prevention, and educational activities based on trauma data.

Manages data entry and assures timely submission of mandated state and national data.

Completes all mandatory education requirements of Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, Virginia Office of EMS state trauma center regulations, and the Trauma Services department.

Promotes teamwork and positive relationships and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders Exercises discretion in performance of duties.

Adheres to HIPPA regulations.

Qualifications EXPERIENCE Required: Minimum 5 years’ experience in ED/ICU/Trauma/Critical Care Experience and excellent computer skills and proficient in use of various software and web
– based applications in daily work Preferred: Supervisory experience Quality/Performance Improvement, trauma patient care, project management, trauma programmatic experience Previous Trauma Registry experience, knowledge of ICD coding AIS, ISS, and AAAM coding EMS Experience Helpful TNCC Provider, Instructor or Course Director EDUCATION Required: Minimum of Associates Degree in Nursing Preferred: Bachelors, Master’s Degree and/or advanced certificate In Nursing or related field Certifications: CEN, CCRN, or TNS LICENSURE Required to be Licensed in the State of Virginia as a registered nurse or has a compact license.
