Job Summary and Qualifications

RN Arrhythmia Care Unit (ACU)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate RN to deliver exceptional patient care in the arrhythmia care unit (ACU). In this role you will provide patient-centered direct nursing care to our cardiovascular intensive care unit step down patients. · As a registered nurse in the ACU you will provide therapeutic care of patients with new onset atrial fibrillation, antiarrhythmic drug loading and dosing, and post-electrophysiology catheterization lab procedures.

· Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, cardiac specialists and patient care staff, you will administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the facility.

· During every shift you will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions utilizing our computerized documentation systems.

• As a part of the clinical team, you will coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team and participate in patient/family education.

· When dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers, you will maintain cultural and diversity awareness, and much more.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
• 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
