Purchasing and Customer Service Coordinator


This is a Full-time position in Midlothian, VA posted June 8, 2021.

Job Summary:

The primary function and purpose of the Quotation and Customer Service Specialist is to support the quotation process by producing timely, accurate and thorough proposals.

The Specialist will also support internal order placement, tracking and communications relating to various projects.

Primary Duties:

Price client requests for materials and installation services as part of the proposal process.

Support entry of vendor purchase orders, order tracking, and update communications to the internal team.

To be successful, the Specialist must demonstrate the following characteristics:
Have exceptional analytical skills.

Be an excellent, effective communicator in both oral and written requirements.

Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, together with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow-through to closure.

The ability to work independently.

The ability to build and maintain critical relationships with vendors.

Must meet the client’s expectations and those of the teammates.

Must learn product usage, terminology, risk of application or operation, with an understanding that continuous learning about products and how they evolve is critical to the on-going contribution to the business.

Manage the quotation process to ensure effective communication, both internally and externally, with a commitment to meeting Ask / Promise expectations.

Must effectively and accurately enter, track, and communicate vendor orders and status.

Must be able to travel out-of-town for business purposes.

Must be able to work extended hours, as required.

Job Requirements:
College Degree preferred.

Three to five year’s work experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Ability to learn and make good decisions.

Great communication and organizational skills.

CAD skills not required, but greatly valued.
