Desktop Support Specialist I

We are currently in search of a qualified Desktop Support Specialist I to join a large financial services company in the Roanoke, VA area.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Hardware Setups at Desk
  • Follow documented process to unbox and set up hardware peripherals (monitors, keyboards, mice, docking stations) at the individual desks.
  • Check workstation is connected to the network and fully functional
  • Provide hardware and network desktop support services as required
  • Some sanitation will be required. We will provide cleaning wipes and sprays as needed.
  • Clean up work areas and move packaging materials to a centralized area with the building for client’s disposal
  • Welcome back employees as they return to the workplace

Qualifications Required:

  • Desktop Support skills – Ideally 1 year experience
    • Troubleshoot hardware network issues
    • Supply hardware as needed
    • Providing hardware fixes
    • Headset/phone setups as requested
    • Printer set ups
    • Ability to lift 50lbs and carry hardware devices required
    • Strong customer support skills
