We are currently assisting a reputable, growing corporation in Central Virginia with its search for a Senior Finanical Reporting Manager.

This is a newly created posiiton that will report to the Corporate Controller and manage a team of 5 in financial reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the global consolidation process including the preparation of financial statement footnote disclosures and all underlying supporting schedules and calculations, including the preparation of the consolidated statement of cash flows and basic and fully diluted earnings per share calculations.

Oversee the necessary accounting for equity and stock-based compensation transactions Act as a liaison between third party internal audit function to develop, drive and improve internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes Oxley Act of 2002.

Assist in preparation for quarterly reviews and annual audits from external auditors.

Assist the finance team in the development and preparation of balance sheet and cash flow budgets and forecasts Lead, train, develop, and motivate others in cross-functional teams to maintain a high level of employee competence for sustained and self-reliant performance and achievement of the department and company goals.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required Active Certified Public Accountant license required 10+ years of progressive accounting experience (public company experience and/or leading the global consolidation process preferred).

Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams.

In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SOX requirements * Our client is currently working remotely but will be going to a hybrid schedule and working in the office at least a few days per week starting this summer so they are only considering local candidates or candidates willing to relocate to Virginia.
