Position Description

Serco is seeking a Director of Business Finance to lead the financial management of our Serco-WBB Business Unit supporting a variety of Defense and FedCiv government clients and programs.

The position will report directly to the Division Business Finance VP but will be a closely aligned Business Partner to the Vice President of the Business Unit.

The Business Unit is a high growth business with strong margins and cash flow.

This role calls for a well-rounded professional who has effective leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills and thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

This is a critical role in the Business Finance organization and will interface with his/her financial leadership peers and other functional leadership daily.

Key attributes we are seeking for this role include both the willingness to dig deeply into details, as well as the ability to assess the big picture.

The selected individual will consistently demonstrate high levels of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate new information.

In this role you will:
Provide business guidance to our Operational Leaders to achieve financial and operational goals, as well as recommending strategic actions to improve progress and performance.

Lead the strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles and related analysis for revenue, EBIT and indirect expenses for the Business Unit Provide subject matter expertise in program control & reporting to include delivery of contract-level financial support and analysis (project accounting, project planning, EACs, etc) Responsible for the management and leadership of the finance employees involved in program control and analysis.

Including the employment, training, motivation and performance management of assigned employees.

Provide Systems, Tools & Process expertise to the Business Finance team Responsible for providing financial support to Management in the preparation and analysis of complex project financial data and other complex contract, project or business related task.

Analyze profit risks and opportunities and advise management on the optimal path forward.

Provide proposal pricing strategies and support new business activities Lead the monthly revenue recognition cycle with a focus on accurate and compliant revenue recognition methods Lead Cash Management activities thru the active monitoring contract billed and unbilled status, working with Finance, Contracts, Accounting and PMO to resolve issues in a timely manner Liaison between operations and other functional support organizations on financial issues.

Interfaces with subcontractors, vendors, and customers as required Partner with Operational leaders to maximize both customer and financial performance Support Division wide cross functional projects aimed at driving best in breed tools and efficiencies across the organization Support both internal and external Audit requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in area of specialty or equivalent and at least 10 years of finance and program control experience in a government contracting environment.  6 or more years of experience leading and developing a team.

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team with a focus on high professional standards, strong follow-up and successful project execution Advanced Proficiency in MS Excel Required.

Advanced knowledge of Deltek Costpoint Project and Revenue modules required.

Knowledge of Oracle -Hyperion and Power BI Knowledge of Service Contract Act
