Business Office Assistant (Manassas, VA) Manassas Health & Rehab Center, in Manassas, VA, has a career opportunity for a dynamic Business Office Assistant to process accounts payable, payroll and to provide overall support to our Business Office.

– We are changing lives Successful service excellence candidates will have the following qualifications and ability to: Accounts Payable: Code general administration invoices.

Distribute invoices to Department Managers for coding and approval.

Verify accuracy and coding of vendor invoices received from Department Managers and ensure proper backup is attached.

Ensure all invoices are approved by the Administrator prior to entering into accounts payable system.

Enter invoices into accounts payable system accurately and timely.

Work with vendors on past due and missing invoices.

Reconcile vendor statements.

Track monthly expenses and provide home office Accountants documentation for month-end accruals.

Maintain knowledge of accounts payable system.

Payroll: Work with Center Human Resources Generalist to maintain accurate payroll records in the system.

Ensure payroll changes and time are properly documented and retained based on record retention guidelines.

Enter payroll data changes accurately and timely into payroll system Produce payroll reports as requested.

Maintain knowledge of payroll system.

Verify payroll for accuracy and submit timely to corporate payroll.

Provide backup for accounts receivable, resident trust fund and pre-admission insurance verification.

Promote a culture of Service Excellence.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: Qualifications: Knowledge of Accounting Principles.

Associates or similar degree, or three years’ experience in an Accounting related field.

Knowledge of payroll rules and regulations.

Must be proficient in the use of computers, Microsoft Excel and 10-key calculator.

Must have good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Must be flexible, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and be able to make effective decisions and work as part of a service excellence team.
